I've Got Friends from all over the Places

Yesterday on my commute home I saw a wild turkey walking down the side of the highway.
Today on my way home I saw a deceased wild turkey on the side of the highway.
Wonder what he tastes like...

Wondering what I've been up to lately?  Entertaining guests, mostly.  My high school friend Laura Kratts came to visit a couple weekends ago.  We took her up wine tasting in Santa Ynez, hiking by Lake Cachuma, dinner at San Ysidro Inn (where the Kennedy's went on their honeymoon), and bike riding down town.

Then my Danish friends came to visit:

We went up the the sidewalk chalk art festival at the Mission.  Here is a sampling of some of the artists' work:

This one turns 3D when you look through a lens.

This one might be my favorite

Pretty crazy those were all down on the pavement with chalk, huh?  Pretty amazing that all those photos were taken with my iPhone camera, huh?

Impressed with my iphone picture-taking skills?  Can you guess what this is:

It's grease from the pan....

Yes I am proud of that.

Last weekend we were down in Pasadena hanging out with Trevor's old college roommate Steve. Yes that's Steve from the infamous "Steve and Trevor party night."

That was then:
